Join me for a farm-themed mystery game! In this class, learners will apply their knowledge of letters and letter sounds by identifying sounds in words, the corresponding letter(s), and transferring that into writing. This class is great practice of segmentation, a key aspect of writing! Segmentation involves hearing, identifying, and separating each phoneme in a word. An example of this would be if I said the word “dog.” To segment, or separate, this word, the student should be able to hear...
Learners will leave with experience in identifying individual sounds in a spoken word and using those to write the word.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and am certified in EC-6 (Early Childhood through 6th grade) and ESL (English as a Second Language) . I taught kindergarten for four years, and I have experience in and a passion for teaching early elementary skills. During my time as a teacher, I have worked with elementary students of all ages through whole class, small group, and one-on-one settings. I am excited to use my knowledge to teach your learner in a fun way! Thank you for considering me as an Outschool teacher for your child!
등록 시 2개의 파일을 볼 수 있어요.For the full experience, students should have something readily available to write with (ex: paper and pencil/pen/crayon, whiteboard and dry-erase marker) to participate in the handwriting portion of the class. I will provide a print-out option if you choose to use it for this class. I strongly recommend having some sort of writing tools available for this class, since it is a writing class. However, I welcome all learners!
Since this is a class for young learners, I just ask that a parent or guardian be around (within hearing distance) to help if/when needed (example: if technical issues arise and the student needs help in order to hear/speak/participate). Thank you for your support!
