수업 소개
In this one-time class we will listen to a variety of music focusing on the pulse and rhythms that we hear in different musical contexts. During our “Rhythm and Pulse” class: We will assign a definition to the individual words "rhythm", "pulse" and "beat" and getting a better understanding of the differences between them. We will listen to a variety of musical genres from different eras. We will build our musical vocabulary by using specific words to describe the rhythmic content of the music that we hear. We will discuss our opinions of musical excerpts and how the rhythm, pulse and regular and irregular beats influence these opinions.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Sonya and I’m a music educator, singer and composition workshop leader living in Maryland.
I teach all age groups from 3 to adult and am currently mostly teaching individual and group voice lessons for teens as well as music composition workshops for kids of any experience level.
I love working on fun projects about all kinds of things such as Japanese Kabuki and Puppet Theater, Unicorns and Rainbows, Our Inner Super Heroes (character strengths and multiple intelligences), Bullet Journaling and as music topics including Musical Sandwiches and Musical Time Machine. Even voice lessons include projects like finding out why a song exists, who wrote it and why.
Fun Sonya fact: Although I live in the US, I was actually born in the UK. My parents were both musicians, prominent in their fields, and I grew up hanging out backstage at concert halls.리뷰
