This course will be broken up into five sections. During each section learners will continue to brainstorm, draw, and create their very own Dino-Island Map. The five sections are broken out below. Each section will also include a short prehistoric presentation before we dive into our map making. Learners are also encouraged to bring their favorite dinosaur toy or figure to share with the group before class. Day 1 • Welcome to Dino-Island Introductions! • Go over the needed supplies. •...
Students will go back in time in order to increase their knowledge of the Mesozoic Era, when dinosaurs roamed our planet, while they draw their very own Dino-island Map. Learners should go away with an understanding of what a dinosaur actually is, what our planet looked like 65 million years ago, and what elements are needed to understand a map.
