In each class, a new spelling rule will be taught. We will spend 3 to 5 minutes learning the lesson, and then we will begin spelling words that use that rule. We will go over about 10 words in class, but they will receive an extra 10 that they can work on at home throughout the week. Most of their practice words will be two to four syllables. We will also be talking about syllable types as we spell the words, so it is important that they have a basic understanding of the six syllable types....
Students will improve their spelling by learning spelling rules.
