Are you looking for outside guidance for your homeschooled tween or teen? Need someone to check in with them to ensure they are on track with their work? If so, weekly check-in is here to help. 

I am an experienced homeschool mentor and have worked with students with a variety of needs and goals, including gifted students and students with learning disabilities. I can help your student set goals, stay on track with their work, and brainstorm solutions to any issues they are having in regards to their work and school. 

I create a supportive and fun environment for students. During each meeting, we will go over goals for the week, figure out work that needs to be completed, and create a schedule for the student. Together we will discuss each subject and assess what needs to be done and if the student is on track. We will also cover any long-term goals and see how the student is progressing. 

Students who struggle with assignments and getting things done should have a daily/weekly planner either in paper format or digital. We will work on filling out the planner when we meet, so the student should come to the check-in with it ready to go. 

My check-ins are one-on-one as I feel students are most successful with individual support. Specific topics that we will cover are:
Homework Strategies
Time Management
Class Success Skills

Prior to the first meeting, the parent should message me with background info such as their child's grade, the subjects they are working on, and any particular issues they need to work on.  I am available for weekly check-ins with specific start dates and times to meet. Message me with what exactly you are looking for, and I will schedule it. Thanks!
