This class is for beginner botanist who loves plants. Through short lectures, vocabulary, and diagrams students will learn how to keep a houseplant happy and healthy. What will be taught? Students will learn what makes a plant a houseplant and not an outdoor plant. What topics will you cover? We will cover what are the parts of a plant and how to even propagate them. How is your class structured? We will first have a short discussion, maybe followed by a 3 or 4 min. Youtube video. Handouts...
Students will learn to distinguish a houseplant, grow it, and propagate it. Also, how to decorate their home with them.
Having taught Biology for thirty-five years to all ages, I have an understanding of the structural and physiological structures in plants. I am an avid gardener myself.
Students will need paper, a pencil and color pencils.
Please be aware that I do use Youtube videos. Although, I try to have them ready at times ads may pop up.
