This ongoing class meets once every week. We will paint different animals. Each week is charged as a subscription on Sunday mornings. This class is designed for students who want to learn the art of Watercolor Painting. Students will start a new project every week and have a chance to progress throughout the series. Teacher Allie Teacher Allie May is a contemporary artist who loves to indulge in all mediums, but focuses most on drawing and painting. She is a graduate student in the BFA program at California State University Long Beach, and aims to pursue a career in teaching art. Her art influence began at a young age, but she considers herself “self-taught.” Allie is passionate about encouraging students to master the fundamental skills and technical aspects of creating, but also develop a style that is unique to each student. Her promise is to encourage a mindset where students are confident in themselves and their ability to create. Watercolor paper/ thick paper Watercolor paint in either pre-formed cake pan sets or in tubes Palette for mixing colors (can use plates, wax paper, etc.) Water container (one for clean water, one for cleaning brushes) A few brushes in various sizes, round brush in size #6 #10 or #12 will be the most useful.
