Welcome to Watercolor Painting Camp - Galaxy! Let's learn about how watercolor paints can make beautiful colorful galaxies. Students will first learn basic techniques using watercolor paint. Students will complete four projects along with me, while being allowed to express themselves as creatively as they would like. I encourage lots of freedom and creativity within each project. We will practice wet-on-wet painting, ombre painting, variegated wash, salt painting, and splatter painting....
Students will learn wet on wet watercolor technique. Students will learn color theory through practice. Students will learn ombre painting, variegated wash, salt painting and splatter paint techniques. Students will gain confidence in their artistic ability.
Watercolor paper 140lb or similar. Paper must say watercolor. Variety of watercolor brushes including round, tapered and flat. Include some thin brushes and some wide brushes. Pencil and eraser Watercolor paints Table Salt Water and paper towels White paint: Liquitex White Gesso, or any other white acrylic or poster paint Optional: White paint pen
