In this class, we will cover the basics of watercolor painting by learning to paint a variety of animals. Each week we will learn how to paint a different animal using basic watercolor techniques. Classes will begin with a brief overview of the supplies needed for our lesson (paintbrushes, paint colors, etc.) and then we'll get straight to painting! Learners will watch and follow along as we paint each animal step-by-step, but they are welcome to get as creative as they like by adding their own flair to their artwork. Most of the class time will be taken up by painting, but questions and discussions are encouraged! There will be time at the end to show off our finished artwork.

There's no need to worry about doing things perfectly in this course! As long as you're having fun, you're painting the right way.

Required materials include: canvas (thick poster paper will work too), watercolors, pencil, paper towels, and a paintbrush

No prior knowledge of painting or watercolors is needed!
