In this Waldorf inspired class, we will delve into the whimsical world of Paddington Bear. (A Bear called Paddington by Michael Bond) Each week in class we will light a candle and read the story together (teacher reading) and then draw pictures based on the part of the story we read. We will do some short writing to process the story, as well. Drawing will be student inspired and will be a quiet, reverent time for working. Students will hear and be immersed in the whimsical world of Paddington Bear while processing through the story by creating drawings.
I am a librarian at a Waldorf school, teacher, reading coach, and private tutor for students of all levels including struggling and gifted students. I also homeschooled both of my children using the Waldorf curriculum at home up to high school level.
