수업 소개
Sight words are known as high frequency words that are learned by memorization and understanding. These words are very important for learners to be familiar with as they appear most frequently in reading and writing. In this one time class, learners will learn three sight words following the Dolch pre-primer sight words list. Learners should be familiar with identifying all of the letters of the alphabet and have some practice with writing letters. Learners will learn to read and trace 3 sight words, (we, like, for) practice spelling and use the word in a sentence. We will also review a variety of other sight words within sentences. (I, see, can) This class will also include simple math skills, such as counting, adding and writing simple numbers (up to 10). The class will include an attached worksheet upon enrollment to enhance learning (coloring, tracing and Identifying). Learners will be able to identify each word, write each word, and continue using these words at home. *We will briefly discuss Valentine's day favorite activities (cards, candy, chocolate, etc) and the people we love!

A little about me....
👩🎓 In 2015, I received a masters degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. I worked at several positions within the Criminal Justice field but after having my three children (all boys), I had a change of heart! I realized I had a passion for being in the classroom and changing the lives of young learners!
I became an online ESL teacher five years ago, teaching English to children of all ages, and I hold two Tesol certificates.
📒✏ I have classroom experience in grades K-5th as I was an elementary substitute teacher for three years and a kindergarten teacher for the last two years!
I aim for my students to have fun while learning in a structured and welcoming atmosphere. I work to encourage students to build their confidence by speaking to their peers and sharing their ideas.
🌎🏖 In my free time, I enjoy traveling and creating memories with my family, which includes three boys (ages 16, 7, and 5). We enjoy spending time at the beach, pool, and amusement parks!
