CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this class we will be learning about the history of the US Civil War within the video game of Minecraft. The US Civil War is one of the most important events in American History. We will learn what life was life during this time period of America, on and off the battlefield. We will learn about the key events of the Civil War and why they happened. We will also learn about the key men and women who fought and died in the war. We will take a tour of some battlefields of the US Civil War within the game of Minecraft. The US Civil War changed the course of American History and changed the lives of millions forever. The US Civil War should not just be kept in the history books.

In this class we will explore some battlefields of the US Civil War and learn about some first hand accounts of soldiers. We will look at the Civil War from a personal perspective and a national perspective. We will learn why this war happened and what it meant for America and it's people. History will be brought to life!

Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.

A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
