This is a Math Subtraction Class. PowerPoint presentation flashcards. We will move along as fast as your student is able. I start with lower numbers such as 1-0=1, 2-1=1, ... moving to 5-2=3... 20-19=1. The focus is on the lower numbers with an introduction to 20 minus, 30 minus, up to 100-99=1. I have this class because, as I have been teaching students in public and private schools, I find that many students are not as skilled with simple subtraction as they should be. I see...
The goals is to have the student master simple Subtraction in their head and not using their fingers to count. This will greatly help them with their in-class work, homework and tests.
I have a Master's Degree, semi-retired, and I work with students from kindergarten through high school as a substitute teacher, afterschool tutoring, writing plays and skits. The plays have presented to the public in theaters and schools. My philosophy; “No one can take away your education.” I encourage students to have fun learning and to take ownership in their education. I have a great rapport with students. I enjoy telling stories, cooking on a campfire, building parade floats, tutoring after school, attending students' sports events with their parents.
