This class is designed to mentor students and prepare them for writing essays. I will teach various skills (brainstorming, organization, transitions, grammar, professional writing, etc.) to improve the quality of essays. I will mentor students through one-on-one zoom meetings to specialize on the student's writing topic. Students will introduce the topic or writing prompt so that I can understand what their instructor is expecting and I will assist the student with writing the Essay (Note: I will not write the essay for the student). I am also available to review or edit essays. I am a valuable resource in this area due to writing personal statements (graduate school), grants (National Institute of Health and other external grants), manuscripts, and diversity statements for universities.
