Every student deserves a fair opportunity to learn in their own way and experience success in mastering academic goals. That's what I'm here for! As a special education teacher with 10 years of experience, I will work with your child to set goals, introduce and practice concepts in a way that works for them, and monitor and celebrate progress. 

Each class is specifically tailored to each student. I will work with the parent and child to develop a structure that works best based around the goals decided on. My subjects of expertise are: 
- phonics
- reading comprehension
- writing
- math

I love using games and have created a wide range based on the student in front of me. I believe that children learn more when they're interested and excited about the topic, so I draw on learners' interests as our jumping off point. As we continue, the student will have opportunities to explore his/her own interests and continue to develop academic and life skills. And finally, it's always best when tutoring can work hand in hand with the student's other schooling. So I welcome any opportunity to review and reinforce any homework or other assignments that the student is working on.
