In this ongoing Reading Comprehension class, learners will read both fiction and non-fiction high-interest texts. Learners will learn various reading strategies like(Story Elements, Sequencing, Main Idea, Retell, Key Words, Inferring, Predicting, Ask Questions, Visualize, etc.) and use them to complete a variety of comprehension activities. Teacher support will be given to read texts, but learners should be at mid-kindergarten-first grade reading level. The texts will be teacher written. Each...
Students will learn and practice a variety of reading comprehension strategies and skills so that they can understand what they are reading.

I have also created a title page that can be used as the first page of a binder or du-tang. I find keeping a CLUB BOOK is a great motivator for learners.
Scissors will be used in some classes. Families will be notified in advance.
