📣 Calling all POKÉMON TRAINERS 📣

Come and join me in this fun and interactive Pokemon themed phonics and circle time class! We take part in a fun circle time every class, practice phonics, move our bodies like Pokemon, and pick out our favorite Pokemon! 

⭐️ This Class is on-going, so your little Pokemon Trainer can join in at any time! Please refer to weekly schedule below for further meetings ⭐️

In this on going course, we will focus on pre-reading skills and engage in a traditional pre-k circle time environment.  Students will practice different letters of the alphabet, letter sounds, all while talking about Pokemon! This is a great class for Pokemon loving students who are just beginning to practice letter sounds.The children will be encouraged to share a favorite toy, answer questions, and participate throughout the lesson. However, in my classroom any student who wishes to take their time speaking and answering questions, is more than welcome to express themselves at their personal level of comfort. I have loved Pokemon since I was a kid and am excited to share that love with my students! Each class will follow the same general schedule, however the order we conduct class may change based on my conversation with the students and their interests.

✨ Class Breakdown ✨


👋🏻 WELCOME - Each student will be personally greeted by name, encouraged to share a toy, and asked about their day and the weather. Each class I will prompt the students with a fun conversation starter.

🌈 LETTER OF THE DAY - We will practice one letter each class. Students and teacher will practice the letter sounds and also talk about different Pokemon that start with each letter.

📝 FINE MOTOR PRACTICE - Students will be encouraged to practice writing each letter.

🗣🧠 DISCUSSION - This may vary depending on the theme or general conversation that forms during class. an example for a theme could be us talking only about water Pokemon and the different types of water Pokemon during class.

🤸🏽‍♀️ MOVEMENT - I will utilize Pokemon Movement cards to get all of our wiggles out at the end of class.

👩🏻‍🏫 GOODBYE - We will go over what we learned and discussed in class, share the work we completed, and say our goodbyes to one another. 

⭐️ Throughout this on-going class students will learn fundamental skills that assist them in Pre-K and beyond. I strive to ensure my students are not only learning phonics, but also getting a chance to get to know one another. Getting to know their friends is a crucial part of my classes. I always want to make sure that little Pokemon Trainers feel that Pokemon Phonics is a safe and welcoming environment.
