Each week, we will focus on a different middle school math topic. We will start with a problem solving task or activity designed to help students gain a deep understanding of the week's concept. Then students will apply what they learned in order to participate in group practice and a game. Students will need paper and pencil every week to work through problems. Some weeks, students will need a simple handheld calculator or possibly other materials for hands on activities. I will post if materials are needed each week 24 hours prior to the class meeting.
Some weeks, we will play games such as Kahoot or Blooket in this class. Students can use a nickname to sign in and do not need to create an account to play.
