We will be reading and discussing "The Iliad" by Homer that is translated by Robert Eagles (537 pages). This book discusses the Trojan War. This book contains many great heroes in Greek Mythology. We will have a discussion each week about the reading. Students will be assigned questions in which we will go over together as a class each week to lead our discussion. Students will learn about Greek Mythology, improve their reading comprehension, learn about history, and geography.
I have my Bachelors degree in Arts & a Bachelors degree in Science. I took Greek mythology in college, have been studying Greek mythology, and I am a huge fan of Greek mythology. I have experience teaching this topic on Outschool as well as to High school students. Please note, there is some violence in Greek Mythology that is in ALL of Greek mythology.

This book is kind of mature. There is some violence and graphic scenes in parts of the book but keep in mind this is seen in ALL of Greek mythology (except for children books that make it kid friendly for younger kids).
