Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be inside the Grinch's cave? Follow along on this wonderfully Dr. Seuss inspired rhyme story as you think of a way to stop the Grinch from stealing any of the winter holidays! You can use your building bricks to save the day! (I am using the word holidays and keeping that non-specific so that all students feel welcome.) This escape room concept will have students use their brick collection to creatively build items that could help them get...
-Practice fine motor skills with block builds. -Practice the skills of creative thinking. -Support classmates in positivity, and appreciate all attempts at the creative process. -Work on listening, public speaking, and following multi-step directions.
I have over 15 years of experience teaching elementary aged students, and hold both a Ph.D. and a M.Ed in education. I also have current licensure to teach PreK through sixth grade. My educational background includes extensive training in teaching core academic subjects, gifted/creative logic, and all manners of pedagogical methods.
