Let’s make interesting, memorable, and catchy songs! Join me for this four meeting course as you develop your lyric writing skills, learn what makes a good introduction and end of a song, and create parts for a small band of vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. By the end of the class, you will have written and produced your own pop song! We will refer to family-friendly pop songs as we learn about lyrics, melodies, and band sections. These will be available on YouTube, Spotify, and other music streaming platforms. While listening to them is encouraged, it is not required. I also recommend using www.wordhippo.com to find rhymes for lyrics. We will look at a few in-class.
