Welcome to The ArKIDecture Academy! In this series, Skyscrapers, we will discuss the tallest skyscraper in the world to date, Burj Khalifa. I am a practicing architectural designer in the world of residential design. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design and a Master's Degree in Architecture. I have been sharing my passion of architecture through architectural camps and classes for children since 1999.
Students shall provide the following: - recycled materials for construction - these could be toilet paper tubes, toilet paper tubes, cardboard, construction paper, or other similar materials. - scissors (*The student should be comfortable with cutting as we will be cutting a lot of shapes throughout the lesson). - crayons, markers, or colored pencils (Parents can choose what medium would be best for their child) - Tape - Materials your child sees fit to help with construction and stability. Materials will vary from home to home and student to student. I will guide them based on their particular materials and therefore projects will differ in appearance.
