If you love space and want to learn more about the sun, this is the class for you! Learners can bring a sun toy or picture of the sun to class so that share with others. Learners will begin class with a fun song about the sun to engage them! We will read a book about the sun called, "Sun: One in a Billion" by Stacy McAnulty. Learners will be encouraged to share their knowledge, ask questions, and make connections about the text. They will learn fun facts about the sun. After the story,...
Learners will practice their social skills by talking with friends and taking turns listening and speaking. Learners will practice counting skills and one to one correspondence. Learners will practice singing and rhyming. Learners will practice recognizing the letter "s" and the sound that goes with s. This builds knowledge of phonics. Learners will practice their creativity and fine motor skills by drawing.
