In the first part of the class, students will listen to a story accompanied by Vivaldi's Summer (from Four Seasons.) While listening to the music, they will be "picturing" what might be happening in the music. Kids will be encouraged to use their imagination throughout the class. I will also invite them to reenact some parts the story and to pretend being different characters in a story. In addition, I will share some facts about Vivaldi. In a second part of the class, we will make a craft...
As students listen to Vivaldi's music, they will practice using their imagination. They will also learn who Vivaldi was and what composers do. During the craft time, children will exercise their fine motor skills and will be encouraged to use their creativity.
Supply List: • Shoe box WITHOUT lid or top OR Cardboard sheet (cut out from cereal or cookie box) • Blades of grass and/or wild grasses • Wild flowers (optional) • Construction paper • Sequins, confetti, glitter, or any other small sparkling and bright decorations • Playdough • Markers or crayons • Scissors • Glue • Scotch tape
Parental Guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) and recommended for older ones (ages 6-7) due to the use of scissors and other materials. Thank you.
