수업 소개
This class is designed for kids interested in learning the violin and would like one-month trial with a professional teacher. Students of all levels, including absolute beginners, are welcome! Each class will have the approximate format: 1) Posture/technique 2) Finger strength-building exercises and scales 3) One piece from the Suzuki method (provided by the teacher) 4) Other solo repertoire and sight reading I tailor my classes to each student's individual needs and repertoire goals - the violin is a challenging instrument, and it is natural for each student to go at their own pace. I like to incorporate music theory into the lessons as it pertains to the repertoire. While I am a classically-trained teacher, I also like to make my own arrangements of pieces that students may be more familiar with to promote a fun and relevant learning experience.

Hello! I'm a violin teacher on Outschool, and am looking forward to offering classes here! I am a violinist and educator in BC's Okanagan region, playing regularly with the Okanagan and Kamloops Symphonies. Prior to that, I was Principal 2nd Violinist in the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.
I have over 8 years of classroom teaching experience, as well as over 14 years of experience teaching private lessons for students ages 4-50! Since April 2020, I have been teaching private lessons online through Zoom as well. I believe that learning music should be fun, and have developed my own methods tailored to students' needs. I teach mostly classical music, but like to incorporate some popular tunes based on students' interests.
I hold a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance/Music Ed from McGill University. I am a licensed ECE, with a Diploma in Early Years Education from the University of British Columbia.리뷰
