In this one times class we will read "Pete At the Beach" and "Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses" engage in fun summer themed letter and counting projects and color in cool printable sunglasses to wear just like Pete! Little learners can build great listening, observation and creative thinking skills during storytime, asking questions and using their imagination. We will meet and greet the first few minutes of class so everyone gets comfortable, talk a bit about our stories, make...
Students will strengthen literacy and listening skills, prediction, problem solving and observation skills as we read our stories and engage in letter, number and visual discrimination projects as a class and will practice fine motor skills as we work together on our sunglasses project with the included printable for enrolled learners.
등록 시 1개의 파일을 볼 수 있어요.Please print out the attached cool sunglasses pdf. There are 2 pages in total with 4 different sunglass templates. Pick a favorite design or color all four at the end of class! You can cut out the templates and trace them on a paper plate or heavy weight paper or cardboard for more durability or cut, tape and fold the paper ones togther for a day of fun. Have your templates cut out and ready to color before class however you choose to make them! *Students are asked to pre-cut and tape pieces together (but not to pre-color) so we can work on coloring together at the end of class.
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up. **In order to promote class discussions and participation I do not mute learners' microphones. This also helps learners practice their social skills such as active listening and taking turns. In order for this to work, students need to be in a quiet setting away from background noises (loud conversations, telephone calls, t.v, etc.). **
