From the writer and producer of the Tales from the Moosiverse podcast comes Storylab: Writing Time Travel Stories That Make Sense!, a 6-week creative writing program for 8-12 year-olds. The purpose of these workshops is to grow the writer/storyteller. These classes will NOT cover writing mechanics like spelling or grammar. Students will grow their confidence in creative writing and story development in general, and especially in the area of time travel stories. They will become familiar with the various frameworks used in time travel stories, how they might appear in stories they enjoy, and how to use them in writing their own. They will learn specific story-development tools they can implement in any story. They will enjoy the process of creation and or sharing ideas with others to help each other grow as writers. They will gain experience in working together in a group to develop stories and bounce ideas off each other in a supportive and constructive environment.
I earned my Masters in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and I am a member of the National Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, as well as writing and hosting my own podcast for kids, Tales from the Moosiverse, which features time travel extensively.
The student will only need something to write on, and something to write with.
