Listening to stories help students grow in vocabulary, reading comprehension and vocabulary. It helps them grow their imagination and creativity. If English is not the students first language, it can help them be immersed in the language. It helps students to be good readers themselves by hearing inflection and rhythm in the teachers voice as she reads. It is also a calming activity to help settle ourselves, reduce stress and transition to other activities.

For this class I will be doing all the reading, but in the future I will be offering Reading courses. I am Certified in TESOL and have been an ESL teacher for 4 years. I am also certified on many levels in Grammar, Phonics, and Reading Comprehension. I have certifications in a wide variety of topics. I can’t wait to explore them with your children in other classes.
