Does your learner love food? How about building new things? Let your learner take part in today's STEAM Challenge, Marshmallow Tower!

Students will use spaghetti and marshmallows to construct the tallest tower possible (Engineering). As scientists (Science), they will use knowledge about gravity and force. Learners will think like an artist as they work to build an aesthetically pleasing tower in addition to creating a story for the purpose of their tower(Art), in addition to measuring the height of their tower (Math). The following will be included in requirements of the tower, and can be simplified or extended depending on the needs of your learner:
- Name
- Purpose
- At least two stories
- Must be able to hold a "person" (this can be a toy, marble, etc)
- Can only use the spaghetti noodles and marshmallows provided

Throughout the class learners are encouraged to discuss ideas, characteristics, etc. about their towers and the stories they are creating. I am so excited to see you in the classroom!
