**Parents- PLEASE READ THIS- Following Outschool's recommendation, I have recently changed this class to be listed as a course. That has caused so many issues! As a result, THIS WEEK (July 21-27) will be the last week for all 12 of my weekly science sessions as a course. You will be unable to enroll your learner in THIS section after this week. I have listed 13 NEW sessions at the same time and on the same day in which your learner is currently enrolled.

PLEASE enroll your child in the NEW SESSION as soon as your child's class is finished this week or your child could loose their spot. Your subscription will end this week so you will need to start a new one. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you. I am hoping it will all get worked out.

Class description: Science is fun and should be included in every child's curriculum. In this ongoing, weekly science class, learners will be presented with a new science topic each week. Lessons will be teacher-led from Google Slides presentations I create myself filled with informative topic-related puzzles, games, songs, videos, and interactive activities to help make learning science interesting and fun.

WORKSHEET: Each lesson includes a printable worksheet (handout) posted to the classroom on Sunday evenings at 9PM ET. The worksheets are an important part of the lessons. I design them to help learners focus on the lesson content and to help them stay engaged. The worksheets also serve as a form of evaluation so parents can review it with their learners. Please make every effort to download and print the worksheet and gather any necessary materials before class begins so your learner is prepared and ready for class. I will display the worksheet on the screen to make it easier to complete. Some of the worksheets require glue or tape, colored pencils or crayons and scissors. **If you don't have access to a printer, please download the worksheet to your learner's device before class begins so they can draw or write on their device to complete the worksheet. **

*NOTE #1: If you enroll during the week after Sunday evening, I will repost the worksheet for the week to the classroom, so please look for it and print it before class begins.

**NOTE #2: I ask learners to arrive at least two minutes early to allow time for them to get settled. I usually start class within one minute of the scheduled start time to allow for the maximum learning experience.

I prefer the children have their cameras turned on and remain unmuted during class unless their environment is noisy or distracting because I ask frequent questions and call on children to read or answer.

I taught K-3 after school science classes for six years. Many of the topics covered in this ongoing session were part of that curriculum and very popular with the kids.
