Course Description**

This eight-week course will provide teens with a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to sports and exercise.

**Topics Covered**

* Introduction to sports physiology and anatomy
* Skeletal muscle anatomy
* ATP and energy systems
* Muscle strength and endurance
* Anatomical terminology
* Energy expenditure
* Athlete types and sports nutrition pyramid
* Physiological effects of aging

Training large muscles vs smaller muscle groups, kinds of exercises

Involuntary vs involuntary muscles
Sliding filament theory

3 Energy systems (ATP-PC, Lactic Acid System, Aerobic System)

We will also use Canva to create easy-to-understand visual presentations to help your learner absorb the information.
