In this multi-day camp, students will level up their knowledge of foods according to the food pyramid in Spanish. Made with beginners in mind, this class will be taught in English with a focus on select words, key phrases, and sample sentences in Spanish, all while creating a relaxed and welcoming environment. At this level, students will learn the fundamentals to identity basic foods based on different food groups. By extension, students will also learn key phrases and sentences to help them in real world scenarios, including: asking for specific foods, identifying healthy and unhealthy foods, and describing ones' personal food preferences.
For prospective students and families, my experience includes teaching English to non-English students in China. Growing up, I have used my knowledge and native speaking skills in Spanish to provide translation services in education, different jobs I have held, as well as helping my parents. I am a first generation Mexican-American to Mexican parents, teaching regularly Spanish on OutSchool since March 2020.
