Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during the calendar routine. Students will be able to ask and answer questions in both languages. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐Course Overview⭐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Welcome to our fun and engaging Spanish and English class! In this class, students will learn and practice essential information and concepts in both languages. We will cover topics such as days of the week, months of the year, how to read and write the date, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, number order, letter names and sounds, and rhyming. To ensure that students can clearly see the information, we will be using slides. Additionally, we will use a range of teaching techniques such as hand gestures, facial expressions, voice intonation, and body movements to engage and help students learn and understand what is being taught. We will also use chanting, rhyming, singing, and call-and-response to make the learning process fun and interactive. This, coupled to her ample linguistic experience as a professional Spanish translator, interpreter, and proofreader are the reasons behind Dr. Scarborough’s superb reading, writing and linguistic skills in Spanish. Hello, my name is Adriana and I'm originally from Chicago, currently living in Puerto Rico. I teach ESL, Spanish and Portuguese. I have about 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught different subjects, in various types of school settings, with ages ranging from 2 years old to 22 years old. It is my goal to make learning fun, engaging, and interactive.
