Learners will be introduced to a new adventure book each week.
○ expand their imagination
○ develop critical thinking skills
○ discuss details and highlights from the story
○ discuss clues found to solve each mystery
○ recall sequence of events
○ express and predict how the ending could be changed 
○ summarize and retell the story in their own words
○ socially interact with other Sleuths in the Club through discussions

I LOVE reading! and reading to and with others, especially children. As a Principal and educator of 50+ years, I always read in my classroom, as Tutor, volunteer teacher around the world and as a Principal to large groups of students at a time. Additionally, I was trained via classes at the Los Angeles Music Center on story telling methods. Who doesn't like a good mystery book? As a precocious reader I was known as Lady Snoop in my younger years and friends sometime still call me that today. I love reading a good mystery and hope my enthusiasm rubs off on each young Sleuth who enrolls with me in Sleuths Mystery Adventure Summer Book Club.

○ be prepared to discuss each book, give their ideas and view point and WHY
○ research any new details in the mystery adventure that's unfamiliar 
○ research new vocabulary words and learn definitions
○ take notes in a Sleuth notebook as you read each day [record clues, events, character names, places, important details]
