This technique is one of the most powerful techniques in helping student understand complex Math word problems.

In this one-time session, student will be familiar with the problem solving strategy : Bar Model. They will be familiar with the different symbols used to draw models and learn how to use them.

It will be broken down into two sections :
1. Part Whole Model
2. Comparison Model 

The learners will also be guided with the step by step process in problem solving such as : 

1. Read and Understand
2. Plan
3. Do
4. Check

The learners shall have the skills in Addition and subtraction operations as this lesson serves as an application. They will model real life scenarios.  

I will be demonstrating the step by step procedure and then provide opportunity for assessing their skills through questioning. They will also be playing math games to keep the session fun and interactive.
