In this class, students will get the opportunity to work with a professional musical theatre actor and singer, getting personalized training in the art of singing. The class will include a vocal warm up, walking through every step so that students feel confident warming up on their own. Then, students will have the opportunity to sing a song that they know/prepare or learn a new song. I will then provide personalized feedback, encouraging them to work on vocal technique, storytelling, and performance elements. Students will then get to try their song again, with this feedback. Students will also have the option to discuss audition prep. I believe in promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for my students. Every student deserves to feel confident, special, and valued! No experience is necessary! If possible, please bring a song you feel comfortable singing, as well as water (and a smile!) :)
