SHSAT Math topics, 7th-9th grade math For students who are registered to take the NYC SHSAT in November 2023 We will be using the questions ONLY from the two practice tests available from NYC.GOV 2024 SHSAT website (https://www.schools.nyc.gov/docs/default-source/default-document-library/enrollment/shsat-practice-test-for-2024-admissions). PLEASE DOWNLOAD OR LOOK THROUGH THE TESTS AND SUBMIT QUESTIONS BEFORE CLASS, OR AT THE START OF CLASS. We will be using the questions ONLY from the two practice tests available from NYC.GOV SHSAT website.

My name is Eileen and I am so thrilled to be an Outschool teacher and help students from all over the world!
I enjoy teaching everything from test prep (SAT, ACT, SHSAT, SSAT, etc) to math and sciences (Bio, Chem, Physics, Earth Science). I love helping students and teaching them how to excel in tests and subjects that they thought they couldn't excel in. One of the biggest myths is that math and sciences are too hard or too difficult to grasp. Any student can do well in science and math and Every student who is given the right tools will do well. The concepts in math and science are universal and can be learned if taught with patience and a little bit of fun.
I have been teaching and tutoring for 25 years: First, as a tutor with my fellow students and then as a tutor for students younger than me and finally with students. Now, I continue to work with students through my online tutoring company: Success Online Tutoring (www.successonlinetutoring.com).
One of my favorite hobbies is to run in Obstacle Course Races like Spartan, Tough Mudder, City Challenge, etc. It is so much fun and so much a part of my life that I met my husband at a race and we even got married at the starting line of the NY Spartan Race in 2018.
