Learners will embark on a wonderful journey though the world of children's literature. They may bring a reading buddy to class. Each class will feature a different book from a beloved author, such as Patricia Polacco, Mo Willems, and Tomie dePaola. I will perform a dramatic reading that engages children and captures their attention. Learners will improve their vocabulary and reading comprehension through asking and answering questions. Learners will explore the world through books and conversation. Anything they can use to build! Some suggestions are: building blocks, hashtag blocks, rocks, cups, magnetic blocks, tape, paper, objects found in nature. The possibilities are endless! Paper Pencil Crayons, Colored Pencils, or Markers Learners may bring a reading buddy such as a stuffed animal or a doll.
