For each week of this course, we will cover a different area of Earth Science/Geology. Week 1 -- this lesson will be all about the structure of the planet, its layers, and the location, behavior and composition of those layers. Week 2 -- in this hour students will learn about plate tectonics; continental drift and the evidence that supports the theory. Week 3 -- This week should prove to be explosive. Students will gain an understanding of the structure, composition and movements of the Earth. They will be able to describe the layers of the Earth; compare/contrast rocks and minerals; earth's crust and mantle movements, and their results; and explain some of the main points of the Geologic Time Scale.
I am Pennsylvania teacher certified in Earth/Space Science.
