In addition to watching and responding to the instructional videos, each class will have some sort of homework opportunity for further learning. I will post 2-5 options, and students may choose the assignment that interests them the most. Once their assignment is complete, they should share about it in the classroom. Notebook of choice to be used as a science journal. Please find a journal that plays to their unique needs and/or strengths. Past students have used art journals with blank pages, standard wide or college ruled spiral notebooks, and primary composition journals in which the top of the page is blank and the bottom has handwriting lined space. Each of these type of notebooks are widely available and generally cost $1-5. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We will be keeping science notebooks as a record of what the students have learned. I will not require writing if the student is still struggling with that skill, but ask that they do make an entry of some sort even if that just means a drawing that you are able to help them label. Upon registration, please share any special considerations that would make it difficult for your child to fulfill this requirement.
