Hi everyone!! Welcome to the Roblox Bedwars Squads Tournament. This class is all about Bedwars, the popular Roblox game by Easy.gg. In this course, learners will join teams and compete against each other in a COMPETITIVE tournament where the winning squad gets a $10 Roblox E-Gift Card(worth 800 Robux). 

This is a live class. This class meets once a week for four weeks.

You MUST have a least 50 wins in Roblox Bedwars by Easy.gg to join this tournament. There are no exceptions to the win requirement. Players that join the course and do not meet the win requirement will be disqualified.

Competitive Classroom Environment
This is NOT a "Let's play just for fun" class. This is a competition. This class does not teach students how to play Bedwars. This is a competition between some of the best players in the world, some of which will have HUNDREDS of wins. The classroom environment is of a competitive nature. There's Robux at stake.

Is this an official tournament?
No. This is an unofficial tournament not related to Roblox or Easy.gg. I host and moderate the tournament as a spectator in every match.

How much Robux do I win? Is it just for me or the whole team? How do I get the Robux?
Each player on the winning squad gets a $10 Roblox e-gift card worth 800 Robux. You don't split the prize. You each get a $10 E-gift card. Losing squads do not get robux. There is no second place prize. Only the players on the winning squad get Robux. A code is provided to a parent by message on Outschool immediately after the tournament ends that can be used to redeem the Robux. Please do NOT provide any personal info like an email address, phone number, mailing address. It is not needed to get your prize. I send the code to a parent and you use the code to redeem the Robux.

Required Prerequisites:
Players MUST have 50 or more wins. This competition is for players with 50 or more wins in Roblox Bedwars by Easy.gg There is no exception and wins will be verified upon enrollment. Please note that 50 is the absolute minimum.  There will be players with hundreds of wins that join this tournament. 

------ Time Zone ------
Please review the dates AND times of this class. If it says 3AM, it's 3AM. That's not a typo. HAHA. Some sessions are intended for students in other time zones in other parts of the world.

-------Attendance ------
 Attendance on ALL DAYS is required. Students that do not attend each day of the tournament are NOT eligible to win Robux. The reason for this rule is to prevent uneven teams and to prevent players that don't attend from getting a prize they didn't earn. We don't want 4v1 matches or 3v1 matches because students aren't showing up. There are 4 squads, each with 4 players. Inconsistent attendance impacts gameplay. Repeatedly arriving late impacts gameplay. The competition is timed and matches cannot be delayed to wait for a student to arrive.

----No Autoclickers ---------
By joining this tournament, you acknowledge that autoclickers are not allowed and result in immediate disqualification. Use of multiple accounts during the tournament will result in immediate disqualification. 

--- Steady Internet Connection ---------
A steady internet connection is needed for this tournament. Constant disconnects and excessive lag impact gameplay. If you drop out the match for any reason, you'll have to wait for the next match to rejoin. I will NOT add you back to the current match. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION.

A device with a video camera. Please have your video on during the tournament (Unless you have a learner exception). Students may play bedwars on any device they choose (tablet, smartphone, computer). Please make sure you have a device that has a video camera. It's common for students to use two devices. One with a video camera and one for playing Bedwars. Two devices is not required but is a common setup for players that use tablets and smartphones.

Again, autoclickers are not allowed in the tournament and result in immediate disqualification. If you use an autoclicker it is an immediate disqualification and your team will have to continue without you in the tournament. Bedwars has throttled clicks per second(cps) but it still must be said that autoclickers are not allowed. Autoclicker is not drag clicking or jitter click. This is only about Autoclickers. 

-----------------Team Selection---------------------
Learners pick their own teams. There will be 4 teams. There will be 4 players on each team. Team selection happens long before day one. During team selection time, students post in the Outschool classroom which team they want to join. Students are welcome to join whatever team has an opening. After Team Selection time ends, learners CANNOT change teams. If a student does not respond or chose a team, they'll be placed on a team at random. A device with a video camera. Please have your video on during the tournament (Unless you have a learner exception). Students may play Bedwars on any device they choose (tablet, smartphone, computer). Please make sure you have a device that has a video camera. It's common for students to use two devices. One with a video camera and one for playing Bedwars. ---------------Attendance-------------------------
If a person misses class/doesn't attend, the team must continue without that person. The person that misses class/doesn't attend is not eligible to win Robux. Attendance is defined as logged into the zoom through Outschool with video enabled as well as logged into the private server used for the tournament.

--------------Point Structure--------------------------
There will be a total of 15 matches (5 each day of the tournament, not including practice day). Each win is 5 points. Each loss is 3 points. The 5 matches played on the final day (Champion's Day) have a different structure. Wins are 10 points. Each loss is 3 points. Only games played during class on tournament days while in class are counted to the total. Games played on practice day  or outside of this class are not counted to the total. Any additional matches played after the 5th match that day does not count to the total. 

---------------------Practice Rounds-------------
The first day/week is for PRACTICE rounds. The wins/losses from the first week do NOT count. The purpose of the practice round is give students the opportunity to practice with their team before the tournament begins. It's pretty tough to play like a team if you've never played with your teammates or haven't even met them. The point of the practice rounds is to give students a chance to build rapport with one another and strategize. Attendance to the practice rounds is required.

How long is each match? When does class end? Class is for two hours to allow time to complete 5 matches each class but the last match may run over. Please know that if the 5th match runs over, we will continue to play until there is a winner. 

 Match length: While the Deathmatch time is set 1200, matches vary in length. It all depends on the speed of the gameplay. Some matches may end quicker than others. 5 matches will be played every day of the tournament, regardless of length. It is very possible the 5th and final match may run overtime. The 5th match will be played until a winner is declared. Students are welcome to leave early if they have been eliminated for the last match. If a student needs to leave early because of another obligation, their squad may continue to play without them. There will be NO incomplete matches in this tournament. Each match will played until a winner is declared. If the matches end earlier, students may play additional matches, but those matches DO NOT COUNT. Only the 1st 5 matches each day counts toward the final total.

------------What to expect in class each day:------------------
--Start of class: A few minutes before the start time, students log into the zoom via Outschool. Breakout rooms are created for each team. A custom match code is provided. The match code is different every match. Students are expected to remain logged in from the 1st match until the 5th match of the tournament (unless the student has to leave early).

--10 minutes into class, the first match begins. The match will NOT be delayed. The match starts on time. Students with log in issues, late arrivals, computer issues, and other issues will have to wait until the next match. Players will not be added or readded mid-match. 

-- 2nd match begins 5 mins after the 1st match. A new custom match code is provided. The match will NOT be delayed. The match starts on time. Students with log in issues, late arrivals, computer issues, and other issues will have to wait until the next match. Players will not be added or readded mid-match. 

-- 3rd match begins 5 mins after the 2nd match. A new custom match code is provided. The match will NOT be delayed. The match starts on time. Students with log in issues, late arrivals, computer issues, and other issues will have to wait until the next match. Players will not be added or readded mid-match. 

-- After the 3rd match, there is an intermission of 10 minutes. During the 10 minutes, students have time to discuss and regroup and strategize before the second part of the tournament begins. This intermission serves as a good time for students to address any technical issues (restarting computer, fix headset, etc.). 

--4th match begins immediately at the end of the intermission. The match starts on time. Students with log in issues, late arrivals, computer issues, and other issues will have to wait until the next match. Players will not be added or readded mid-match. 

-- The 5th and final match begins 5 mins after the 4th match. A new custom match code is provided. The match will NOT be delayed. The match starts on time. Students with log in issues, late arrivals, computer issues, and other issues will have to wait until the next match. Players will not be added or readded mid-match. Some matches will be quick and some will be long. This CANNOT be predicted. Class will not end at a perfect time each day. There will be times where the 5th match runs over the end time. The 5th match will be played until a winner is determined. Eliminated players may leave early. If a student has to leave early for other reasons, their squad may continue to play. 

If the 5 matches complete early, more matches may be played as practice but the additional matches DO NOT COUNT.

Week 1 - Practice Round (wins and losses do not count during the practice rounds! Attendance is required!)
Week 2 - Tournament Day 1  (5 matches)
Week 3 - Tournament Day 2  (5 matches)
Week 4 - Tournament Day 3  (5 matches)

A total of 15 matches. The squad with the most points after 15 matches is crowned the winner and each player of the winning team is awarded a $10 E-gift card worth 800 Robux. If there is a tie after the end of match 15, there will be a 16th match with just the squads that are tied to break the tie.

Camping
If the same player/team every single match is just standing in one spot, this will be addressed. Especially if it occurs after beds have broken. Standing and waiting while other teams fight will result in a warning will be given, and disqualification and/or loss of match points may follow. Rushing is totally fine until it becomes targeting. If the same team keeps rushing the same player or squad, a warning will be given, and disqualification and/or loss of match points may follow.

Repeatedly targeting a specific player/squad is NOT allowed
It is totally normal for rivalries to start between certain squads/players, but if a team/multiple teams are suspected of targeting a specific player or squad, a warning will be issued. Targeting means a player/squad is purposely going out of their way to attack a specific player/squad. An example of targeting would be: team green and yellow are all in center. Team red is way on the other side of the map. Instead of team green and yellow attacking each other, both teams cross the entire map just to rush red. This happens multiple times. That is not ok. The same is true if a specific player is targeted. 

Excessive spawn killing is not allowed. This is on a case by case basis. This is to avoid players doing spawn kills just to up their numbers and delaying the end of the game. There is no magic number of spawn kills before it becomes excessive, but a warning will be given. 

Again, Autoclickers are not allowed in the tournament and result in immediate disqualification. If you use an Autoclicker it is an immediate disqualification and your team will have to continue without you in the tournament. This has nothing to do with other types of clicking like drag click and jitter click.

Game Settings
A private server and a custom match code is used for all matches. I will spectate all matches as the moderator. The private server link will be provided upon enrollment.
It will always be a standard Bedwars squads match.
Team colors are picked before the tournament begins and remains the same the entire tournament. 
Maps will be chosen at random.
All matches have the following setup:
Deathmatch Time: 1200
Team Overflow: Off
PvP: On
Bed Breaking: On
Block Breaking: On
Keep Inventory on Death: Off
Max Health at start of match: 100
Purchasable Items: All enabled
Kits Allowed: Yes. All Kits Allowed
Generator Cooldown Multiplier: 1

Hi!

My name is Miss Jennifer, and I teach classes about Roblox/Roblox Studio, Cubzh, Visual Studio Code, and Blender. I enjoy teaching coding and video game design. It is a joy to be able to teach what I love to do. 

My coding classes focus on learning computer programming fundamentals. These are essential skills that students will take with them into adulthood and are valuable in any field of study.

I am also a Roblox event organizer, and I have run a few virtual gaming tournaments here on Outschool: Roblox Bedwars, Bladeball, and Doors. The Doors tournament was pretty funny because I had multiple students get to door 100, so it was a tie. If you have any ideas for other tournaments I should create in the future, let me know.

I don't just teach Roblox stuff; I am a huge fan. When I am not teaching, I am on Roblox just like you. I play ERLC, Pls Donate, Dandy's World, Bladeball, Berry Ave., Strongest Battlegrounds, Elemental Grounds, and Bedwars. I am Zukojen on Roblox. I am also Zukojen on Cubzh. Cubzh is an up and coming 3D gaming platform that also uses Lua programming.

I offer a lot of classes. If you are not sure what class to take first/next, ask me. Please feel welcome to send me a message BEFORE enrolling. Some classes are for students that have never used Roblox Studio. Some classes are for students that have no coding experience. Some classes are for students that have some coding experience but are still beginners. More about me and my teaching style:

My teaching style is all about being thorough and patient. It really doesn't matter to me what kind of game the student wants to make; every game has the same basic components, and every coding language shares the same basic components. My goal is to give students the fundamental skills they need to create whatever they want. I allow the kids to lead based on their interests and explore. I provide hands-on examples and enable students to learn at their own pace in a prepared environment. Learning should never be a passive process. Students should present, aware, and engaged.

It may take longer or require more effort, but it is worth it every single time. The things that students can learn to do for themselves and others are far more meaningful than what someone else can do for them. So yes, students in my classes are responsible for typing their own code and building their own stuff. Does it take longer? YUP. Is it more challenging? YUP. Copying and pasting stuff and blindly following a bunch of steps is not helpful. There is value in learning how to make things on your own. 

I am often told by my younger students that I treat them just like I treat the big kids. I treat all my students like developers, because they are developers. The only difference between my students and me is that I have more experience doing it. We all have to start somewhere. Never too early to learn these lifelong skills. Why do I treat all my students like developers, even the ones with no experience? That is because in the tech world, we call those junior developers! Haha!

I was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. I now live in Nevada (Pacific Standard Time Zone). I have always enjoyed technology. When I was a kid, I would take electronics apart and often would break them in the process, which my parents were not too happy about haha. "The machine is for homework ONLY!"  Apparently the family computer could not run without a CPU. Who knew? HAHA.

As a kid, I would read my aunt's medical books and write what I found in C programming.

If there is anyone out there that wants to learn C, let me know! Let's keep C alive! Many industries like the aerospace, financial, automotive, and medical industry still use C for essential stuff to function. We need more people to learn the language. I would love to teach it.

It should be no surprise then to know that before Outschool, I worked as a software developer for a hospital system. My primary coding languages are Lua/Roblox Lua, C++, C, python, java, and C#. After work, I would help students in my local area with their math and coding homework. Now I get to teach students all over the world in a virtual classroom here on Outschool. It's so much fun!
