수업 소개

영어 수준 - 알 수 없음
미국 4학년 - 5학년 학년
Learners will spend 50 minutes each week discussing the various details of a Roald Dahl book. During the meetings, learners will be encouraged to read critically, share their opinions, and discuss literary devices.
Each lesson will begin with each learner having the opportunity to share news or a favorite toy with the rest of the class. This encourages participation and enhances class discussions later in the lesson.
Next, each lesson will discuss theme, characterization, plot structure and setting elements from the weekly book. These four points will always be covered in each class, since they are the four pillars of critical reading.
In addition, each week will have a different literary emphasis and discussion focus. Learners will know the topic in advance in order to help develop their critical reading skills.
The last five minutes of each lesson will be dedicated toward learners sharing their own imaginative alternate endings for each book.
Although these book club classes will be fun and social, I will emphasize real-world skills such as critical thinking and creativity as well as the soft skills of effective communication and active listening during each lesson.
