In this class students will learn about the different reptiles that inhabit this earth with some live representatives to help them understand each animals strength for survival and importance in their ecosystem. While learning about the order "Reptilia" we will discover the difference between a turtle and tortoise (and meet live representatives), talk about the amazing features of snakes with a real snake, meet and learn about a real tegu monitor lizard (a close relative to the Komodo Dragon)...
By the end of class students will be able to describe the features that make a reptile a reptile.
Have students bring their excitement and love of reptiles. If the student has their own reptile they are welcome to bring it to class.
