Learners will gain confidence in building characters, reading fluency and comprehension. Students will also practice speaking and listening skills by interacting with other classmates. Learners should have literacy beyond CVC words. Some examples of the vocabulary include: whirlwind, hullabaloo, saguaro. 

I started my theater career by attending 4 years at Arts Magnet High School in Dallas, Texas. I earned a B.A. with a double major in  in Communications & Theater, and then earned my M.A. in Theater. I’ve acted in and directed productions for years. I’ve been cast in roles like ‘Puck’ in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, ‘Frankie’ in “The Member of the Wedding”, and worked side-by-side with playwright Jack Heifner in his outstanding production of “Home Fires” as the character ‘Maydene’. I’m also a published writer and numerous articles can be found online and in national and international publications. I have experience teaching children all over the world.

We will be using a script based on the story “The Three Little Javelinas” by Susan Lowell. Students will have the option to print it out, but it isn't necessary as I will provide colorful slides in class.
