In our first class we will review the skills Darsh has already acquired and introduce eighth notes and rests. We will learn how to read a fingering chart for the Floot Toot and learn new notes. We will continue to work on the fundamentals of flute playing such as tone and embouchure development, posture, hand position, and articulation (slurring and tonguing). I will provide the music, tunes and exercises while using the Floot Toot. The Floot Toot is very limited! The student will need to purchase either a Nuvo Donut Flute or a traditional student model flute once we have exhausted the capabilities of the Floot Toot. The student will need to purchase a book to accompany the Nuvo Donut Flute or traditional student model flute. I am happy to help counsel the student/parent on the purchase of a flute and book.
