Students will be expected to practice outside of lesson time to prepare for our lessons each week. The amount of practice time and number of days per week will be decided by myself along with the student and parent. 수업 소개
I am offering weekly private one-on-one flute lessons for children ages 9-18. We will meet once a week for 45 minutes to work on your child's individual flute and musical goals. 45 minute weekly lessons are ideal for intermediate students who are ready to take their flute skills to the next level. As an intermediate level flutist we will continue to build upon your child's strong foundational flute skills. We will work to extend the range of your child's flute playing along with learning more advanced tone skills and all twelve major scales. We will move from using a method book to studying more tone and technique studies along with etudes and solo flute literature.

During our private weekly lessons, students will continue to build on the foundational flute skills they have already learned. We will focus on intonation, technical and tone studies, vibrato, sight reading, extending the range, solo literature and learning all twelve major scales.

Hi! My name is Carey and I would love to have you as a flute student. I primarily offer private flute and piccolo lessons to beginner, intermediate and advanced flutists ages 9-18.
I began my flute studies at the age of 10 and continued to study flute in college where I earned my Master of Music Degree in Flute Performance with Distinction from The Longy School of Music. I also earned my Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Kennesaw State University. I have been teaching both private and group flute lessons for the past 14 years.
My teaching style is collaborative, I believe in listening to what the student’s goals are for their lessons. During our first lesson I always ask students what their musical goals are. From there we develop a plan together in order to help the student achieve their goals. I always involve my students in the processing of choosing repertoire as well as I strongly believe that if the student likes the music they are learning the more likely they are to practice and successfully learn the material.
I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia with my cat Joel. In my free time I love traveling especially to Disney World, reading, kayaking and paddle boarding.리뷰
