Identify notes on the keyboard
Identify notes on the staff
Count rhythm accurately
Play basic piano pieces

I have taught 1000+ students how to read and play piano music in the Group Piano format now for about 10 years. I find that students learn very quickly to become independent readers and musicians - plus have a great time learning alongside their peers!

This course does require a commitment to practice throughout the week between classes. The idea is to: play your songs! Outside of pressure to sit for a specific amount of time, an encouragement to review the songs through 2-3 times each, 3-4 days a week, will make for not only progress, but a confident learner who will have fun sharing what they now know! 

Students will WANT to show off what they have learned! I only say - PLAY MORE MUSIC!

I will give verbal feedback to students during their daily class as well as following classes as needed. 

I will also message you individually as I want to keep you, as the parent or guardian, aware of how your child is doing in class. This is a team effort it being sure your child is getting the most out of their time in piano class.
