We will use the power of our brains to unlock learning! In this twice a week ongoing class preschool age learners will learn about letter recognition, letter sounds, number recognition, counting, colors, shapes, and calendars, among many other things. Students will have a chance to converse and share with other students and the teacher in order to work on social skills and taking turns. Learner Learning Goals: - have a positive first learning experience - be able to correctly recognize each letter of the alphabet - be able to correctly say the sound for each letter - be able to recognize beginning sounds - be able to say the days of the week - be able to identify basic and advanced shapes - be able to identify colors - be able to count from 1-30 - be able to recognize numbers 1-30 - practice social and listening skills
Please bring a paper and crayons (or markers) to class, though we will not use them every single class. There will also sometimes be a worksheet sent to each learner before class. You are welcome to print out the worksheet (not required) or follow along on the teacher's worksheet. Students will also be able to share one show and tell at the end of each class so they can have that off to the side during class.
