This is an ongoing class that repeats every 15 weeks. Each week, we will learn to write through a progression of uppercase letters, numbers, and then lowercase. We use the Handwriting Without Tears methodology which uses consistent language and letters grouped by similar formations as well as using Size Matters Handwriting curriculum to work on legibility rules. Students will write the uppercase and lowercase alphabets with correct letter formation. Students will write numbers 1-9 with correct formation.
I worked in public schools for over 20 years as an occupational therapist. I have certificates of completion for Handwriting Without Tears for print and cursive.
This class is very organized and follows the same schedule each week. Handwriting Without Tears works well for all learners including those with Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, ADHD or ASD. I do not allow more than 4 students in this class.
