In this class, students will review math concepts they were taught in sixth grade. In each class there will be a brief review, then we will practice problems together. After, students will be asked to do problems independently. Topics taught throughout this course will include multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, exponents, and graphing. I will be looking at students' work during class to see how comfortable students are with topics. I will spend more time on topics that students are having difficulty with. This class is designed to be very flexible to meet all the needs of students in the classroom. I want every student to succeed. Dates may change to meet the needs of the students, but will be updated below! General Schedule Week of June 5: 1. Multiplication 2. Division Week of June 12: 1. Multiplying with decimals 2. Division with decimal remainder Week of June 19: 1. Decimal in the dividend division problems 2. Decimal divided by decimal Week of June 26: 1. Two-digit divisor division 2. Fractions to Mixed Numbers Week of July 3: (No class July 3rd and July 4th) 1. Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions 2. Adding and Subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators Week of July 10: 1. Multiplying Fractions and Mixed Numbers 2. Dividing Fractions and Mixed Numbers Week of July 17: 1. Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Slides will be used by students. Students do not need a Google account to use. This is often used in activities where students have to move items around and I want to see their answers.
